Other things to keep in mind
Sponge Cake portions are generally served double the size of fruit cake.
For fruit cake or mud cake portion sizes are generally 1” x 2.5” to be served at a wedding
You may wish to double this size for birthdays & other events.
Square Cakes Provide more portions per cake.
When deciding sizes for a wedding cake remember to decide if you want to keep your top tier.
When having several tiers make sizes are best increased by at least 2inch each tier for
eg 6” 8” & 10”
